PFW Street Style*

*I am not, at this point, what I would consider to be a street style photographer. You know, the kind who goes up to people and asks to photograph them, and has a more or less exclusively street style oriented blog. I lack the necessary boldness and the good camera required to be one at this time... but if I see something I like, I photograph it. Therefore, I snapped many a photo of clothes and accessories I loved throughout fashion week here in Paris. They were just all taken without permission, with few exceptions, and aren't great shots of the people wearing them... but I think that's actually kind of great, because in my photos, you'll see the people like I saw them; just a glimpse of the back view or something special seen from afar. This resulted in some very candid shots and makes it possible to see the whole environment the subject was in, revealing why they might have stood out to me in the first place. So, enough bullshitting... here are some cool looks I saw on the streets of Paris.

You can tell I'm really attracted to bright colors and bold contrasts. Yeah, this color blocking trend is totally in line with my personal style values, loooove it. I also am craving an accordion pleated maxi skirt even more after seeing so many gorgeous ones last week. Also drooled over so many sock/tights and heel combos... shame I don't have a personal driver because heels are soooo not practical for running around the metro tunnels and climbing stairs every day. That's the thing about living in a city... at my small town high school I wore heels every day!

My favorite looks were usually at tuileries... always amazing people/style watching. I love how vast the garden is, and how the greyness of the ground and buildings allows bright colors to stand out remarkably well. There was nothing better than scanning the horizon for a bright spot of color, and then slowly watching it approach the entrance, growing larger and larger until finally I could make out exactly the pieces of each color blob.

P.S. The picture that was obviously taken in a bedroom is a photo of my legs. I feel like I should let you all know right away that I'm the type of gal who'll wear neon lace with grey leopard print... because that's how I roll. Take it or leave it :). CLICK ON THE PHOTOS FOR FULL SIZE!
